FIRST EVER Digital Vinyl Simulator - Stanton FinalScratch For Linux Review/History
Переглядів 11 тис.Рік тому
I take a deep dive into the first Digital Vinyl Simulator to hit the market - which ran on linux (and BeOS!) - compare it to later solutions from Serato and Traktor, and explain how timecode works. Stanton Final Scratch was released in 2002 and was developed for Stanton by N2IT members Mark-Jan Bastian, Bill Squire and Tim Hemel. The DJ market was never the same again. What's more it initially ...

Hey bro i need your help i got problems with reverse issue with vestax pdx please help 😢 i tryied resistors etc
The new Pocket 386 improves on the usability of this thing immensely. More of a laptop form-factor, still very tiny keys but not the squishy kind. Also can switch from widescreen to 4:3. Basically took the best parts of the Pocket 8088 and Hand 386 and merged them.
*phils computer lab want's to know your number
can i do that for mobile emmc
Awesome video. Really enjoyed you showing how you worked around all the issues with the board, very cool
I want to take the headphone jack stereo convert to mono to send to XLR male to send to powered monitor. My stereo inears do not have a loopout just the headphone jack
Dudes rock
Cool now half life. (Joke obviously)
Where can I find the ISA 16-bit (E-ISA?) to header/PC104 adapter? I'd like to base a project on it!
@@ipavemyownroad I can't link it but I posted the design files on vogons forum :)
A motherboard with pci slots would of been easier to find
Intel GMA 3000 chip set about 256mb onboard graphics
Its 2 pin powered or 3 pin powered plug? Cause i have 2 pin powered mixer and i have grounding issue please tell what should i do?
The "Pattern Poster" its GREAT!!! :D and the S0S signal too!!! I really enjoyed this video. Any chance to get the firmware from the pdx2000mk2?? :) . Cheeeeers.
@@GroundBeatDe yeah I got firmware from most PDX revisions, email me
Could you possibly put a game such as flight of the Amazon queen on one? It plays similarly to maniac Mansion and if there's a possibility of it happening I would absolutely work tirelessly to add that to my collection.
Cool, I would pay alot for this.
You can run low level DOS on current processors.
Is there a way to do the same thing with SNES, and then at least there can presumably be everything we see here plus more colours too?
Is his Hdd named Rule34 ? 8:28
386 designed by the Mega Drive design team.. "Nah, just add another layer on top" :D
why tho
My memory of the Amstrad is that it was green graphics on a black screen. Not so? Rather white on black? As I'm working on a book in which the Amstrad screen gets a mention I'd be glad of confirmation, pretty please?
You're probably thinking of the Amstrad PCW range, they had green screens. The PC1512/1640 monitors were white.
@@TheRasteri Interesting. Helpful. Thank you 🙂
Built 2 of these now, many thanks for the project.
I remember that VESA-LB cards (particularly the original ET4000) could do VGA framebuffer access *far* faster than the PCI, and even most PCIe cards, that followed.
freedos supports usb
I have a led black and i have ugually problem 😢
AMD completely abandon it ....least intel still supporting since raptor lake is good direction we are gonna , i hope opensource community get feedback on your work to forward intel that it might be good idea to have LPC slot in the future for older DOS games on modern os seems like good addon for intel users , its shame AMD ditch it when hardware midi boards was meant to be use on. Since modern MIDI boards gonna have place to lived on
I can imagine that Windows 10 is the last version to upgraded from all these previous versions of Windows because of Windows 11's TPM and SecureBoot requirements.
It's one of the dumbest inventions ever. All they did was remove some PCI-E lanes. A regular GPU could still work in that slot just fine even if it only had a single PCI-E lane.
Yeah it's pretty silly. My guess is they didn't wanna deal with support calls from people who put a new GPU in and were getting crappy performance.
Damn that reminds me of my old days I need to hear more of this got any more 🤔🤔🤔👍🏾👍🏾💯💯💯✌🏾
I have an old metal press break that uses a 1985 DOS computer. It uses (needs) 2 ISA cards, DOS, VGA screen and keyboard. The computer is not working so good. How can I get a computer with 2 ISA card slots?
a Pentium 2 or 3-era motherboard is probably your best bet
how is that sound that you used for scratching called??
"Today we're going to be talking about Project Disappointment" I knew I'd get the recognition I deserved some day.
Hope we'll see you again someday Andy, love your style of project.

@TheRasteri I realize this was a PC oriented video, but a minor correction "Pipe Dream" was not created by Lucas, it was ported by Lucas. It was originally called "Pipe Mania" for the Amiga and created by The Assembly Line who did a number of amazing games.
direct link for VB6 Install Wizard please
Noice!
I think if you hit that yellow connector a few more times, it might fit.
@5:44 Actually the square wave is filtered by the resonance of L101 (68uH) and C104 (10nF) thusly filtered into a Sine-Wave, which is then Amplified by Op-Amp IC104 and fed into the Inductor. Thank you very much for the schematic! Liked and subscribed FOR SURE!!!
This would of been possible back in the day somewhat, but the chips would be far too expensive for the consumer market! I'm sure it would be possible to build a handheld into the cartridge itself with the ability to work on an actual NES! Fit a pi zero, plenty of room to fit a colour screen the zero & function buttons, maybe with a Gameboy cartridge slot built into it, all running through emulation of course. He's actually playing an emulator on a Pi, through the consoles video output, & not the consoles graphical chips, & probably sound chips, its an illusion sort of. The same can be done with any other 8 bit system I'd wager. Going on the video thumbnail, theres nothing "official" about it.
But why?
DISAPPOINTMENT
Oh the Mamorys, Memorys!
Very helpful - i have never heard about LPC, or i just dont recall it whereas i am a noob tht had heard about VLB, multiIO and even 8042 :) - its great that we all can have UA-cam and social-communism-cal service like UA-camk :)
If you're looking for a more modern mainboard with ISA slot. I recommend the MSI MS-98L9 V2. Supports 6th and 7th Gen. Intel processors.
This thing is amazing to keep old industrial machines running
